Associate of General Studies ABOUT THE PROGRAM The Associate of General Studies provides the graduate with comprehension of basic concepts of art, music, film, theater, literature, foreign language, history, humanities, and philosophy. Additionally, recipients of the Associate of General Studies will have demonstrated both oral and written communication skills, as well as developed critical thinking skills with the ability to utilize and apply current computer technology across the curriculum. All courses are offered in 4-week and 8-week formats and average class size is 35 students. EMPLOYMENT OUTLOOK The General Studies degree program is an excellent choice for students planning to transfer to a four-year college, updating their skills for job opportunities, looking for a diverse curriculum to broaden their horizons, or still undecided as to what career they would like to pursue.

CALL SCHOOL: Bossier Parish Community College Bossier Parish Community College is a two-year community college with approximately 6,500 students enrolled each semester. Academic programs of study include associate degrees, certificate/technical diplomas, and technical competency areas.
